Broken Glass Nail Art with Iridescent Foil | VIDEO Tutorial
Hi guys. I hope everyone is having a great week. I am still recovering from a cold. I am nearly there, but still lacking the energy. Anyways, in today's post I would like to show you some cool broken glass nail art. I have made foil nail art before, which you can check out HERE . I still really like how the nail art turned out back then, but I would lie if I said I was cool with the damn foil sticking out of my nails. I could never manage to get the foil to lay completely flat on the nail. No matter how many layers of top coat, the nails were still bumpy. In today's video tutorial, I am happy to share a technique, which is very quick and makes the foil application so much easier.
The whole 'secret' to the perfect foil application is … FOIL GLUE ! I say 'secret', because maybe you guys already knew about this, but it was news to me. Applying the iridescent foil pieces onto a layer of foil glue makes the foil lay perfectly flat on your nail. You can also take your time to apply all the pieces perfectly, because you are not rushed by a fast drying polish. That's it! I was really pleased with how this broken glass nail art turned out and that I was finally able to have a smooth finish.
The pretty pastel colors on my nails are all by Indigo Nails – Call Me a Unicorn , My Summer Melons , Love and Ibiza Chill . I just love the Spring vibe of this color combination. I really can't wait for Spring and Summer manicures, they are my favorites.
I also used a beautiful, iridescent foil from Indigo Nails . You can check out all of their foil products HERE . I have a couple of them and they are all gorgeous.
What do you guys think of this broken glass nail art? Did you know about the foil glue technique? Let me know what you think about this idea in the comments below.
